A few weeks ago, we shared that 98.5 KTIS had crossed the One-Million-Prayers-Prayed mark!  Late last week, our entire family of subscribers collectively crossed TWO MILLION PRAYERS prayed!

Whether your PrayerWorks group has prayed several dozen or several thousand prayers, THANK YOU for making this tool available.  We love hearing stories about how God works through each anonymous prayer.

Our friends from 88.7 The Bridge sent us this note from a listener:

Today my 11 year old was in the back seat of the car as I had 88.7 on the radio and you were talking about “Prayer Works” and mentioned a couple prayer requests. Later, I was in a resturant with my son and asked him to ask the blessing. He went on with the usual but added this that he had heard on your station in the car… I didn’t realize he was listening so closely “and please help that dude with the tumor”. Just wanted to say think you for helping me teach my children to pray for others.

Music to God’s Ears. One Million Prayers!

This past week marked a milestone for PrayerWorks.

The PrayerWorks site at 98.5 KTIS has hit ONE MILLION PRAYERS prayed!

It’s been almost three years since the tool was launched with our listeners in the Twin Cities.  The response has been overwhelming, and humbling.  In fact, we feel like we’ve had a front-row seat to miracles big and small.

We continue to be amazed at how God works through complete strangers to uplift, encourage and heal.

In the words of “Better than a Hallelujah” by Amy Grant,

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful, the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes

The prayers of His people are music to God’s ears.

More Features Added!

A few months ago, we let you know that PrayerWorks had made several improvements including auto-flagging, search, connecting stories to the original prayer, and the opportunity for you to receive alerts any time a prayer is posted.

Today, we’re excited to let you know about even more features!

End User Account Creation
The option of creating an account lets your users create a “prayer list” of the prayers they have prayed for and would like to keep praying for.    The account can be created inside of PrayerWorks, or they can simply use their Facebook profile to log in.  When posting their own prayer requests, the “terms of use” confirmation is already checked.  Look for more benefits to this feature in the near future!

SMS/Text Messaging Availability
Receiving an email alert that someone has prayed for you is very encouraging.  But not everyone carries a smart phone where they can retrieve emails.  That’s why you can enable SMS/Text Messaging alerts for your users. This feature provides the most immediate notification that someone has prayed!  Instructions for this functionality can be found here.

Customized CSS
If your web developer would like to tweak the look and feel of PrayerWorks on your site, we can enable that capability for you.  Stylization options are limited in order to maintain the integrity of the brand – but changing fonts, colors or background images is doable!

There is a lot more in the works, and we look forward to letting you know about additional improvements.

New PrayerWorks Features!

Hello PrayerWorks friends!

We love hearing your stories about how the PrayerWorks tool is making a difference in lives all across the country (and in Canada) — so keep sending them our way!  And, if you’ll be at NRB in a few short weeks, I’d love to connect with you.

Today, we’re excited to announce some new features that are now live!

Search
Your PrayerWorks users are now able to search for key words in PrayerWorks. So if they have a heart to pray for a specific issue (say, marriage, or addiction, or cancer), they can enter that word and find every request that includes that term.

Stories and Prayers Now Connected
Stories that are posted to the “Stories” section of PrayerWorks will now be connected to the original request that was posted. When available, listeners will be able to click a link on a PrayerWorks story that will take them to the original prayer request.

Auto Flagging
PrayerWorks has relied on a manual flagging process to help weed out inappropriate prayer requests. If your users find a request they feel is inappropriate, they are able to alert your administrators, and even help automatically pull a request off your PrayerWorks page.  Now, with Auto-flagging, you are able to set up some keywords that will automatically alert you when they are used. We’ve taken care of some of the nastier terms in the background, but you can add terms to help keep an eye on site abusers or sensitive topics.  Administers can access this in the PrayerWorks Dashboard under the Manage Your Information section.

Activity Alerts
Some of our smaller affiliates wanted to receive notification when anyone POSTED a prayer request so that they get their team praying for it.  This is now available, and it’s accessed in the PrayerWorks Dashboard under Manage Your Information -> Change Information section.

More upgrades are in the works, and we’ll be letting you know very soon what some of them are!

PrayerWorks announces a huge milestone, and app, and new pricing structure

Greetings from the CMB Momentum conference in Orlando!
We’ll be sharing some fun updates about PrayerWorks® tomorrow – and since you’re a valued friend and subscriber, we wanted to make sure you were up-to-date even if you aren’t at CMB.

This is already a big month for the PrayerWorks® tool – we’ve hit a major milestone and we have some fun new developments!

First, on September 1, we crossed the ONE MILLION PRAYERS mark! Perhaps one of your PrayerWorks® users lifted up that millionth prayer?  It has been awesome and humbling to see how God works in and among people whom have never met each other.

And, there’s an app for that!  We are excited to announce the availability of a mobile version and iPhone app for your users! Users can participate in YOUR PrayerWorks® community with a new mobile browser experience, or our new PrayerWorks app for iOS. We introduced this recently at KTIS and have already seen over 700 downloads.  I can only imagine how much more encouraging it is for folks to get prayer notifications wherever they may be. This is available to you immediately. Just visit http://onlineprayerworks.com and let us know you’d like to upgrade to PrayerWorks® PLUS.

That brings me to the new, simplified pricing structure. After studying similar tools, we have decided to offer PrayerWorks® at one flat rate, regardless of market size. New subscribers will all be charged that rate, and our current accounts will be adjusted upon renewal.

New pricing:
Basic – $19.95/month
Basic PLUS – $29.95/month

In the meantime, you can add the mobile capability to your account today for an additional $10 per month.
